Step into the RingoFire: A New Home…
Greenville is one of the “hot spots” of the Southeast (obviously we think it’s THE hot spot.) New industry is crowding the landscape bringing families from across the United States to settle in the Upstate.
Greenville provides the perfect environment for businesses such as RingoFire to thrive. Established in 2016, RingoFire is a marketing and advertising firm focusing on creative strategies to increase awareness, sell products, increase foot-traffic, and promote events for clients. “Our objective is to meet you where you are, study your business, and help provide resolutions to the challenges you face.” What began as a small two-man operation has grown into a company with 25 employees.
A small office next to a downtown Greenville parking building was the first home to RingoFire. In 2017, they set-up shop in the old Chamber of Commerce Building on Main Street (signaling an appreciation for the architectural history of home.) Today a ribbon cutting is being planned for the new offices on Bramlett Road at the former site of The Southern Weaving Company and the RingoFire team continues to grow!
RingoFire saw great potential in the property, just ten minutes from downtown Greenville, that went on the market in 2018. The plot has everything – “history, location, room for the future.”
In the early 1900s, Greenville was the “Textile Center of the World.” In 1924, Jack Burnett and F.L. Murdock, friends of Henry Ford, wanted to capitalize on the rich cotton mill environment and opened Southern Weaving, LLC. They supplied cotton webbing for the Model T. In the 1940s focus shifted to the war effort. Southern Weaving produced everything from backpacks to belts during that time. After World War II, the mill became the supplier for seat belts. Workers churned out over one million yards a week. As textile mills fell victim to better, faster machines, entrepreneurs found new purpose in the huge, abandoned cotton mills.
Renovations on the Southern Weaving property were completed in early May. Now only two buildings have been updated with all the technology “bells and whistles” a growing business needs. Office space for management and digital operations plus modern studios for photography and video production have come to life. Other buildings stand ready for recycling. “The dream is to build an innovation campus,” says RingoFire’s CEO, Brian Stearns, while keeping the beautiful architectural elements that reflect the mills 100-year history.
On A More Personal Note:
RingoFire’s reputation around Greenville (and beyond) speaks for itself. Per their website, “Partnering with RingoFire means growing your work family, your community and your brand.”
While talent, experience and professionalism obviously play a major role, the fact that they’re a group of down-to-earth, kind, and caring individuals has been the catalyst for their success.
